To the editor:
I am writing this letter to express to the Selectmen of the Town of Lebanon how much I appreciate what they have done for Rob and I.
When you approved the Work Camps to come to Lebanon and help the citizens of this town, what a wonderful thing you did. You gave us an opportunity to get things done which otherwise would not have been possible without them. To watch the transformation was amazing and very exciting too us.
A group of 12 teens and two advisers came to our house. The first day they came I was ill, they were very respectful of that and quietly started work on our house. The second day I was much better and started to communicate with them more. I loved the fact that they had devotions in the morning before they started and at lunch. We got to sit in with them and got to know them each individually.
One day our dog Rocky got loose. They all were praying that he would come home safely, and usually when Rob spots him, Rocky would run away from him, this time he did not. He came right to Rob and got in the car. Once again prayers answered.
On the last day the kids were here, they all came inside and gave us a prayer shawl, a plaque in which everyone signed and a picture (framed) of all of us together. What a group of caring, loving people. The work they do is amazing and with such love.
Please bring them back next year to help others in need. What a wonderful group of people.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
