YORK, Maine - A York man died of injuries sustained in a crash on Wednesday in York.
The single-vehicle accident occurred around 5:40 p.m. on Chases Pond Road.
A preliminary investigation showed that Royce Perkins, 68, was driving his Ford pickup truck north when for unknown reasons, his vehicle drifted off the left side of the road and into woods, according to a statement sent from York Police on Thursday.
Perkins collapsed while speaking with EMS and was rushed to Portsmouth Regional Hospital where he died. The New Hampshire Medical Examiners office will determine the cause of death.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the York Police Department.
