ROCHESTER - The 4th Annual Wings & Wheels event will be held at Skyhaven Airport next month and will show some new twists as well as many familiar favorites.
New to the event will be renowned bike stunt performer Mike Steidley, who is a 12-time National Champion and sure to be catching some air for all to see.
Children 8-17 will also be able to catch some air, with free plane rides from the EAA Young Eagles program.
The event takes place on Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and will also include entertainment, concessions and more. All proceeds benefit Gerry's Food Pantry in Rochester. Pilots can participate in the Passport Run by visiting neighboring airports and ending at Skyhaven for a chance to win great prizes.
Admission to the event is a donation to Gerry's Food Pantry (monetary donations preferred) and includes scheduled entertainment such as the Lil' Iguana Interactive Musical Show, Car, Motorcycle and Aircraft displays, and a chicken wing eating contest.
While the kids fly for free, adults can enjoy plane and helicopter rides for a reasonable fee.
There will also be food concessions, crafts, games and raffles, outdoor laser tag and a dunk tank.
