Rochester Main Street will present Joel Glenn Wixson, song dreamer, at the July 26 Factory Court Brown Bag Concert in downtown Rochester. Underwritten by Citizens Bank Foundation, the Factory Court Brown Bag concerts are held every Friday from 11:45 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Concertgoers are asked to “bring a chair and buy or bring a lunch” to enjoy a musical performance in the heart of downtown Rochester.
Joel states that I have been a Song Dreamer since I was a boy, though until recently I didn’t really know what that meant. As a child, I would soar through my dreams on the textures of music that would fill them. It wasn’t until high school that I started to try to manifest this music in my waking life. With sounds reminiscent of Bruno Mars, Eddie Veder, David Gilmour, Adele, and Amy Winehouse, Joel enthralls audiences whenever he performs.
The Factory Court Brown Bag Concerts are held twice weekly through Aug. 31. In case of inclement weather the concerts will move to the Roberge Center, located off Bridge Street, just behind artstream studios and gallery on North Main Street in downtown Rochester. Free parking nearby is available at the North Main, Union and Congress street Parking lots. For more information please contact the Rochester Main Street office by calling 603-330-3208 or email director@rochestermainstreet.org. Appearing on Friday, July 12 is Pat O’Brien, featuring original and Irish music, mixed in with humor.
