ROCHESTER - Rochester's Stonewall Kitchen store will be moving to The Ridge in mid- to late February, according to a company spokesperson.
Margaux Maertens said the move comes as the lease at their Milton Road facility comes up for renewal. She said the change of location is one they are thrilled with.
"We're very excited about this move," she noted in a Thursday email to The Rochester Voice.
Stonewall Kitchen began its incredible run in the gourmet food industry with a farmers' market in Portsmouth 28 years ago. The company created by Jim Stott and Jonathan King has since won countless awards and is recognized as one of the leading manufacturers of premium jams, jellies and sauces as well as many other gourmet products. It can also claim an out of this world taste as Maine native and astronaut Chris Kelly asked to take some of their Wild Maine Blueberry Jam into space because it made him think of home.
Maertens said the high traffic at The Ridge will be a positive for the store moving forward. Their new facility will comprise almost 4,760 square feet.
The company's other local stores are in York, Maine, and Portsmouth.
