ROCHESTER - William (Bill) Leonard Stanley, 61, died on Dec. 16th 2024, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love for family, and a passion for the outdoors. Born on April 3, 1963, Bill was a lifelong resident of Rochester, where he built a life deeply rooted in his community.
Bill was predeceased by his father, Leonard Stanley, and his brothers, Keith and Daniel Stanley. He is survived by his loving mother, Lorraine Stanley; his daughter, Chantal Jacobs, and her husband, Jordan Jacobs, of Tampa, Fla.; and his beloved grandchildren, Atticus and Ansel Whatley. He also leaves behind his siblings: Linda and Dennis Harte of Rochester; Timothy Stanley of Deering; and Amanda and Josh Payeur of Rochester. Bill's extended family includes several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember him fondly.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Bill was deeply committed to his career in the paving industry, most recently working with Sunday Paving. Outside of work, he found solace and joy in nature, often spending his free time fishing on the lake with his brothers and friends. He loved the occasional yard sale and he had a keen interest is in talk radio and a lifelong passion for learning about history, which he often shared with those around him.
Above all, Bill took immense pride in his daughter, Chantal, and cherished moments with his grandchildren, Atticus and Ansel.
