DOVER - Wanda G. Tarr, a longtime resident of Dover, died peacefully on Jan. 6, 2025, at the age of 87, after a series of health issues. She was born on Sept. 21, 1937, and spent her formative years in Sanford, Maine.
Wanda is best known for her candor, love of gardening and cooking skills. She moved to Dover after working at the once thriving Clarostat Manufacturing Company, where she met Arnold Tarr, her first husband. After raising a family of two boys and a variety of pets, she began a new career with the State of New Hampshire. This began as a secretary before she was promoted to Support Enforcement Officer and then Supervisor before retiring in 2004.
The immediate surviving family includes son Douglas Tarr and his wife Michelle, son Daniel Tarr and two cats, Toby and Tiger. Pre-deceasing her and the rest is her beloved daughter Debra. Wanda's extended family includes her deceased second husband Robert Glancy and his four children. A host of friends, neighbors and religious acquaintances also mourn her passing.
