MILTON - The body of a Milton woman missing since Monday was found in the water near the Garage Way bridge today, according to family members who were at the scene.
The discovery was made sometime early today.
Milton Police had reported on Tuesday that Ann Wade of Milton had gone missing on Monday and was last seen in the parking lot of the downtown Dollar General store.
The 39-year-old woman lived with her father in an apartment above Stuart's Woodworking, said Kevin Poitras, an uncle from Barrington, N.H., who was among the searchers.
Milton Police and members of Wade's family said in a press release on Tuesday that they feared Wade might try to harm herself.
Wade had just moved to Milton less than a year ago from out west, Poitras said.

Around 9 a.m. this morning members of the Milton Police Department, New Hampshire Fish and Game, as well as Milton Fire and EMS could be seen gathered on the Milton side of the bridge next to Helping Hands thrift store.
Below in the water a Fish and Game boat was able to retrieve the body, whereupon it was taken across to the Maine side and brought ashore to a Milton ambulance parked at the canoe launch off Prospect Hill Road.
Milton Police issued a press release today around 1 p.m. stating there was no indication of foul play and said they would continue the investigation in conjunction with the State Medical Examiner's Office.
