Unidentified drowning victim found in Winnepesaukee River

FRANKLIN - State Police say the body of a deceased person was found on Thursday in the Winnepesaukee River.

The body was found around 8:30 a.m. by members of Franklin Fire Rescue and other responding agencies.

The incident has been characterized as a drowning in which no foul play is suspected.

Police did not reveal the sex or identity of the victim.
