Two transients nabbed on robbery, drug charges

ROCHESTER - Two transients were arrested on Tuesday on robbery and drug charges.

Jimmy A. Stewart, 28, was charged with felony level Robbery and felony level Possession of a Controlled Drug, while Amanda Demers, 25, was charged with felony level Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and misdemeanor level Possession of a Controlled Drug.

The pair are alleged to have robbed a third individual of an undisclosed amount of money. No weapons were used in the robbery, and no injuries were reported.

Police were called to 12 Springfield Ct. around 9 a.m. for the report of the robbery which led to the arrests.

Both Demers and Stewart are being held at the Strafford County Jail pending an arraignment today.
