Two Sanford men plead guilty to drug trafficking

PORTLAND, Maine - Two Sanford man pleaded guilty to drug charges on Monday in U.S. District Court.

Adam Hill, 34, of Sanford, faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine for possession with intent to distribute heroin and cocaine.

He will be sentenced after the completion of a presentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office.

Court records show than on April 10 Hill was arrested while in possession of about 43 grams of heroin and 20 grams of cocaine.

The case was investigated by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Sanford Police Department, and the Office of the Maine Attorney General, with assistance from the Maine State Police and South Berwick Police Department.

Also on Monday James Levesque, 54, of Sanford, pleaded guilty to distribution of oxycodone.

Court records reveal that on March 7, 2014, in Sanford, Levesque sold forty 80-milligram oxycodone pills, through a middleman, to an individual working with law enforcement.

Levesque faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine and will also undergo a presentence investigation prior to his sentencing.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the York County Sheriff's Office.
