FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Two Rhode Island men are accused in a fight that caused the death of a Newmarket, N.H., man during the Patriots home game against the Miami Dolphins in September.
Justin Mitchell and John Vieira, both of Warwick, were charged earlier this month with assault and battery and disorderly conduct over the alleged beating of 53-year-old Dale Mooney.
Mooney was found unresponsive after the Sept. 17 confrontation and died at a local hopsital later that night.
There are several witnesses that said a fight broke out before Mooney's death.
Criminal complaints were filed by Foxborough Police on Dec. 7.
The suspects are expected to make appearances in Wrentham District Court in January.
Earlier this month Mooney's death was ruled a homicide following an autopsy.
One witness said they saw just one punch to the side of the head that knocked Mooney unconscious.
