ROCHESTER - Frisbie EMTs revived three unconscious heroin overdose victims in two separate incidents across the city on Tuesday, resulting in two arrests so far with more expected.
In one incident, two victims were found not breathing and unresponsive when emergency workers arrived at a Shelby Road residence.
A third person at the residence also showed signs of overdose and was transported to Frisbie Hospital.
Police ended up arresting one of the overdose victims and said more arrests are likely later in the week.
Nathaniel P. Donato, 20, of 10 Shelby Lane, Apt. #2, Gonic, was charged with felony possession of a controlled drug, child endangerment and contempt. Officials said there was an unattended 2-year-old female present in the home when the overdoses occurred. The contempt charge was a result of Donato already being out on bail from a September burglary arrest.
Donato is being held on $10,000 cash bail and was expected to be arraigned sometime today.
In a separate incident on Tuesday, Rochester Police, Rochester Fire and Frisbie EMS responded to 33 Leonard St. around 4 p.m. for a report of a male who was unconscious and not breathing.
Upon arrival EMS revived him, too, and he was transported to Frisbie Hospital and later arrested.
Douglas Gray, 42, of 6 Remick St., Milton, was charged with felony possession of a controlled drug and released on personal recognizance with an arraignment set for next month at Rochester District Court.
