WATERBORO, Maine - A Waterboro man was arrested on Saturday after he intentionally crashed into an ATV that he said was "ripping up" a road that he maintained.
Deputies responded to the intersection of Buff Brook Road and Lake Sherburne Road around 5 p.m. for a report of a disturbance and found that 50-year-old Jason Campbell of Waterboro intentionally rammed his car into a side-by-side ATV operated by a 17-year-old male. It was Campbell, himself, who reported the incident to the sheriff's office.
The ATV operator and two other passengers in the vehicle all complained of minor injuries but refused medical attention. The ATV sustained damage to the right front tire and axle making the ATV inoperable.
Investigation revealed that Campbell, who works on maintaining the grade on the road, got upset because they were "ripping up the road."
Campbell was arrested and charged with aggravated reckless conduct Class B. Additional charges will be requested on indictment.
Campbell posted a $500 bail and was released from jail. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Nov. 12.
