They say President Trump's words are treason, so read them ... and other stuff

Let's start off by saying I hope you'll find this column "insightful," not "inciteful."

I only mention that since there are already suggestions online that the latter be made a word.

I remember when I was running for office several years ago and talking with small businesses whose owners were furious with entitlement programs that "disincentivized" folks from working for a living.

As I write this column now "disincentivize" carries the journalist's shame of a red line under it as in "it's not a word." Yet here we are on a Google definition search that says it is. What a world what a world!

By the way when was the last time the Wizard of Oz was on free TV? And by the way, what is free TV? Every damn station wants your credit card.

However, I will say Roku is by far an honorable swindler.

I mean when you've had a couple of beers and really want to watch the "Blues Brothers" for the 19th time and the only way to see it is with a seven-day free trial to some station, Roku emails you the next day and says, "Hey fool, don't forget you signed up for a free seven-day trial. Don't worry, we'll remind you a couple of days before the trial ends to cancel it if you don't want to keep it."

I wonder if you get the same heads-up when you sign up with one of The Rochester Voice's competitors offering a 99-cent trial for a month? I mean do they email you and say, "Hey fool, do you want to continue? Or did you just really want to read one story? If you do want to cancel just click on the link and we won't charge you the $12 each and every month until you die."

By the way in case you didn't know, The Rochester Voice has more than 2,000 paid subscribers and growing every day.

Oh yeah. That lead art? Click bait!

No, just kidding.

That's just something for folks who just got a whole $600 to think about as the Democrats waste millions of dollars for broadband in Afghanistan, $135 million to Burma and $481 million to Colombia, all while millions of Americans are suffering from a pandemic while our national debt rose to some $27 trillion last fiscal year.

So in the scheme of things, spending a couple of weeks impeaching a president, which when you look at what Congresspersons get paid will only cost taxpayers another $3.1 million for their two weeks pay, just makes common sense. I mean you already paid $30 million for a two-year impeachment on Russian collusion that proved no Russian collusion. But you never see a fact check on a Russian collusion story involving Trump, do you?

Now, as my eighth-grade math teacher would say, put on your thinking caps. Remember, look at the quotes and pick out the two that incite violence?

On that note, maybe Ms. Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Watters should be impeached.

Of course that don't have a prayer.

But the Dems may figure Supreme Court justices Clarence Thomas, Amy Coney Barrett and Samuel Alito should be impeached. After all they voted to give President Trump standing in the Texas lawsuit over voter fraud. Treason! Sedition! Hmmmm. Hey, Nancy, is there something we can do to these three to make them cower, too?
