The past week's weather has been punctuated by a series of snow events, but Mother Nature saved the most significant for Super Bowl Sunday.
The Northern Seacoast may not get as much as the predicted 18 inches for Southeast New England, but it will surely be a plowable event with as much as 6-12 inches possible in the Greater Rochester area.
Accuwether's official storm warning timeframe is 7 p.m. today till 1 p.m. on Sunday, with flurries possible early this evening before the heavy snow begins in earnest around 10 p.m.
Winds will pick up Sunday morning around 8 a.m. with the strongest gusts of close to 30 mph predicted around noon before they begin to subside.
Meanwhile, temps will climb into the low 30s today, but turn frigid tonight with lows just above zero.
Bottom line is the storm's timetable allows for football fans to do their Super Bowl grocery shopping pretty much the whole day, but you might want to avoid the late afternoon crowd when there could be a real "flurry" of activity.
