CONCORD - Governor Sununu was admitted to Portsmouth Hospital this afternoon for additional testing after he felt ill following his trip to Kentucky to see how it was handling a surge in COVID hospitalizations earlier this week.
He is in good spirits and confident in his care, his chief of staff, Jayne Millerick said in a statement from the Governor's Office.
Sununu's office issued a statement on Wednesday telling the public that he had not been feeling well, prompting him to cancel his Governor's Council meeting and begin isolating. A subsequent negative COVID test showed he was free of the virus, but he continued to suffer from flu-ike symptoms.
He will have more tests taken at PRH, Millerick said.
