ROCHESTER - Rochester voters took to the polls today under sunny skies and pleasant temperatures, leading poll watchers to hope for a good turnout in races that will decide both a hotly contested mayoral races as well as several contested City Council races.
Also on the ballots will be races for city school board, supervisor of the checklist, selectmen, police commissioners as well as seven charter amendments that mostly just clean up present language or seek to address variances in state and local statute.

Polling locations include East Rochester School for Ward 2, Chamberlain School for Ward 2, Gonic Elementary School for Ward 3, McClelland Elementary School for Ward 4, Rochester community Center for Ward 5 and the Elks Lodge on Columbus Avenue for Ward 6.
Polls will remain open till 7 p.m.
