Strafford teen badly hurt in Washington Street crash

ROCHESTER - A Strafford 15-year-old was seriously injured in a two car collision Monday night at the intersection of Washington Street and Estes road.

The crash occurred around 7:15 when police say Glen Tuttle, 63, of Strafford, was driving a Dodge 3500 on Washington Street headed south towards Barrington when Brandon Hennessey, 16, of Strafford, who was traveling in a Mitsubishi Eclipse on Estes Road, crossed Washington Street without stopping at the intersection.

A 15-year-old passenger in the Eclipse sustained what were described as serious, but nonlife threatening injuries and was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital. All other involved individuals, were evaluated on scene by EMS but were not transported to the hospital.

As a result of the collision the Eclipse sustained significant damage.

While emergency crews were on scene Washington Street was closed down.

Hennessey was issued a stop sign violation. The case is still under investigation at this time. Anyone with information about this collision is asked to contact the Rochester Police Department at 603-330-7128.
