On Tuesday Kathryn Mone won her Democrat primary in the Strafford County Sheriff's race with 51 percent of the vote. Mone, a former North Hampton Police Chief, will now go up against Republican Scott Tingle in November's General Election.
Coming in second with 30 percent of the vote was Strafford Sheriff's deputy Tracy Hayes, followed by Steven Bourque in third with 18 percent of the vote.
Tingle is currently a Community Supervision Case Manager for Strafford County Community Corrections.
Meanwhile Sean Leavitt won the Republican primary for District 3 Strafford County Commissioner over Cliff Newton, 1,684-1,424.
The General Election is set for Nov. 5.
