ROCHESTER - Steven P. Colbroth Sr. died on Friday Sept. 26, 2024, at his home in Rochester following a brief illness.
Steve was born on May 30, 1947, in Rochester.
Steve served in the in the Vietnam War with the Army, and later worked as a shipwright for Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 40+ years and was presently retired. His friends from the shipyard fondly referred to him as "Shaker" and was always with his buddy Victor Porro (better known as Chachi). He loved a good pool game, playing golf, fishing, camping. He also enjoyed spending time at the Victoire Club in Rochester with his friend Bill Leduc. Steve also loved going to his place in Florida for the winters. He also enjoyed going to Busch Gardens. He was proud of his children and often bragged to his friends about them.
Steve is survived by his two children, Steven Colbroth Jr. and his wife Tracy, of Nottingham; and Lisa Colbroth, of Lee. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Angelina Morse, his step grandchildren Lauren and Evan Medonca and his great grandson, Bryce.
Steve is predeceased by his mother, Gertrude (Rippett) Miller, brother, Ray Colbroth; and his grandson, Zachary S. Colbroth.
