Stedman William Plante ... avid gardener, Sox fan

ROCHESTER - Stedman William Plante, 85, of Rochester, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014, at the Wentworth Douglass Hospital. The son of the late William and Iona Plante, Stedman was born on January 23, 1929, in Worcester, Mass.

Stedman was an avid gardener, accomplished ceramic painter, and was a huge fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.

Stedman is survived by his wife, Marie Plante of Rochester; his children, Steven Plante of Brentwood, Stephen Bartlett of Rollinsford, Alan Bartlett of Meadville, Pa., Timothy Bartlett of Belmont, Douglas Bartlett of Pembroke, and Ann Kippley of Rollinsford; two sisters, Phyllis Doucette of Kittery, Maine, Judy Famorca of Summerville, S.C.; thirteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
