SALISBURY - State Police and ATF agents are investigating a explosion in Salisbury on Thursday that appears to have been caused by a homemade "pipe bomb" style device.
The detonation occurred around 1:35 p.m. and drew multiple agencies.
Upon arrival, troopers located evidence of the explosion along with fragments of the device and remnants of explosive incendiary matter, according to a Dept. of Safety press release sent out today.
There was no property damage or personal injury as a result of the explosion, but it did begin a small brush fire that was extinguished by residents of Hensmith Road, according to officials.
Troop D Troopers, in conjunction with the New Hampshire State Police Bomb Squad and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms processed the scene.
Troopers also canvassed the area, attempting to locate witnesses and home surveillance footage around of the time of the incident.
At this time, the New Hampshire State Police are asking residents of the area to check and review home video and security systems to locate suspicious vehicles in the area, activity or visuals of the explosion.
