State, Rochester Police probing ongoing incident on Bow Lake island

STRAFFORD - Rochester and State Police are investigating a disturbance on an island in Bow Lake today.

Other law enforcement agencies are also aiding a criminal probe into an incident in the area of Bennett Island, located on Bow Lake in the Towns of Northwood and Strafford.

As a result of the ongoing criminal investigation, residents will notice a significant law enforcement presence in the area. At this point in the investigation, the situation is contained and the investigating law enforcement agencies continue efforts to bring the investigation to a conclusion.

At this time, the New Hampshire State Police and the Rochester Police Department are requesting that members of the public avoid the area if possible.
