Fast-moving, scattered snow squalls could make for treacherous travel today as a snowy, breezy pattern develops over the Northern Seacoast and Greater Rochester region over the next two days.
Forecasters from Accuweather predict whiteout conditions during many of these squalls, which will fade away during the later part of the morning and be replaced by sunshine with temps in the mid-30s for much of the rest of the day.
Total accumulation today is only expected to be a coating to an inch.
Wednesday will see additional snow squalls and flurries with temps again in the mid-30.
While no major snow accumulation is predicted, roads could be unpredictably slick in some spots, especially bridges and overpasses.
Thursday will see a return to brilliant sunshine but bitterly cold temps with wind chills in the single digits most of the day.
