ROCHESTER - A Somersworth man has been arrested in the hit-and-run that occurred earlier this month on Route 11 in Rochester just before the Farmington line.
Adam Smith, 26, of 423 Main St., was arrested in connection with the accident, which resulted in serious injuries to a New Durham man, who was struck on Nov. 5 as he walked northbound on the grassy shoulder of the road across from Hagan’s Motor Pool.
The charges include Conduct after an Accident, a felony; and Driving after Revocation or Suspension.
Smith is alleged to have been driving in the same direction when he is said to have struck the pedestrian, who continues his recovery from the injuries sustained.
Rochester Police had earlier indicated the full-size dark-colored pickup sought in the case had been registered in Farmington, but in a press release detailing the arrest made no mention of the vehicle or whether Smith owned it.
Police impounded the truck a couple of days after the accident.
Smith was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail with his next court date set for Dec. 30.
