SOMERSWORTH - A former mill building that has been vacant for some time was the scene of a spectacular fire Monday night in downtown Somersworth.
The fire was first reported about 8:30 p.m. in the area of 225 Main St.
When fire crews first arrived the inferno was fully involved and mutual aid from around the Northern Seacoast was summoned.
No injuries were reported in the blaze, officials said.
Fire crews were expected to be on scene overnight trying to contain the fire to the building of origin.
Traffic on portions of Main Street was diverted as firefighters worked the scene.
