Shrek The Musical auditions at ROH

Rochester Opera House Productions will hold auditions for Shrek The Musical on Monday, June 17 and Tuesday, June 18 at 6 p.m. at the Rochester Opera House, 31 Wakefield Street. 

Casting includes adult and youth actors from ages 13 and up for the characters Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Lord Farquuad, Dragon and for a large ensemble that play all of the fairytale creatures and townspeople. 

Auditioners will be required to sing approximately 32 bars of a song from a musical (pianist provided) and to perform a comic monologue. 

There will be a dance call and some cold readings from the script.  Call backs will take place on Wednesday, June 26, at 6 p.m. at The Governor’s Inn, 78 Wakefield Street. 

The show is produced by ROH Executive Director Anthony Ejarque, directed and choreographed by Kelli Leigh-Ann Connors with musical direction by Kathy Fink.  Performance dates are from Oct. 10-27.
