DOVER - Sharon Marie Lovejoy, 84, of Dover, died on Sept. 2, 2024. She was a beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sharon was born in Jackson, Mich. She moved to Dover just after high school to be with her then husband Charles Handloser and raise a family. Over the years Sharon worked for Foster's Daily Democrat, First National Bank, and Channel 11. She went on to remarry George Lovejoy, and became a stepmother to his six children. Together they worked at Lovejoy Real Estate and lived in Barrington.

In her free time, Sharon enjoyed writing poetry, listening to music, and riding horses. She was always eager to share these passions with others. Sharon was also known for her delicious meals and love of gardening. She could often be found tending to her flower beds.

Preceding her in peace was her husband, George Lovejoy; and brother, Stephan Chimielewski.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Handloser) Dodier, and her husband, Scott; her grandchildren, Emma, and Evan Dodier; a sister, Susan Slaybaugh, and her husband, Gregory; niece, Lynn Isaak, and nephew, Daniel Slaybaugh.
