ROCHESTER - The Utilities Division for the Department of Public Works will be temporarily turning off water today between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the area of Brock Street, from Rt. 125 to Emerson Avenue.

Additionally, Public Works will be temporarily turning off water on Wednesday between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the area of Autumn Street, Davis Boulevard, Sandina Drive, Marcy Drive, and Jay Way.

During this time, residents will experience little or no water pressure. The reason for this shutdown is to repair a damaged section of the sewer main caused by the water main.

As a result of this work, households may experience air or some discoloration in your water. This discoloration is from naturally occurring minerals that have precipitated in the water lines. If needed, please run a cold water tap for a short time to clear your water.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call Public Works at (603) 332-4096.
