Seton Academy ribbon cutting celebrates an educational milestone for Lilac City

ROCHESTER - A ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of the newly founded Seton Academy was held on Tuesday.

The ribbon cutting presented by the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce was held in the front courtyard of Holy Rosary Church, which will serve as the school's facility its inaugural year, which begins Tuesday.

Seton Academy, located at 189 North Main Street in Rochester, is a private Catholic school operated by
the Seton Foundation, fostering an environment where the Catholic faith is central to the educational
philosophy of their school, and remaining faithful to the Catholic education tradition.

Seton Academy is not a diocesan or parish school; the Foundation will be responsible for all aspects of operations - including funding, personnel, curriculum, and location - while working toward recognition by the
Diocese.

The school serves students in grades K-eight.
Seton Academy intends to grow in the coming years, and ideally relocate into a permanent location that
allows the Academy to seat more students and offer extracurricular activities and programs. This year,
they look forward to a great school year for their students, faculty and staff.
