Seniors tour of Champlin Forest set for Aug. 23

ROCHESTER - The Rochester Recreation Department has scheduled a seniors-only guided tour of the Champlin Forest Reservation, across from Skyhaven Airport.

The easy walking tour will be led by Forest Society naturalist and Senior Director of Education Dave Anderson.

The tour, open to those 50 and over, will follow wooded roads on gentle terrain while participants learn about the history of the 307-acre Champlin properties. Anderson will talk about the forest, trees, and wildlife habitats while leading an enjoyable, comfortable walking pace.
