ROCHESTER - It's been almost a week since an East Rochester boy went missing and hasn't been seen since.
The family of Cacidy Mowry, 15, is urgently seeking the public's help in locating him. Cacidy was last seen in East Rochester around 10 p.m. last Friday, July 26. Since then, his family has had no contact with him, and his current location remains unknown.
Cacidy is described as around 5-foot-10 in height, with red hair and freckles. He was last seen wearing dark gym shorts, a graphic T-shirt, black sneakers, and carrying a backpack. The last confirmed sighting of Cacidy occurred around midnight after his disappearance when a Ring camera captured an image of him approaching a house in East Rochester before he turned and walked away. The homeowner shared this footage on the Ring Neighborhood app the following morning.
His family immediately conducted their own search and contacted the police within 30 minutes of his disappearance. They have since been tirelessly searching and working with the community to locate him. Despite their efforts, Cacidy remains missing, and no new information has emerged.
According to a recent social media post, the family has expressed deep gratitude for the support they have received from the community so far. They are now asking for additional help in distributing flyers. Due to weather conditions, their efforts have been focused on placing flyers indoors, and they have only been able to cover a portion of the downtown area. They are requesting anyone willing to post flyers in the Rochester area to assist in this effort.
Anyone who has seen Cacidy or has any information about his whereabouts is urged to immediately contact the Rochester Police Department at 603-330-7127.
