ROCHETER - Police responding to the report of a man found unconscious in a coffee shop bathroom came up empty, but while searching for him nearby ran into another man who had a bench warrant who was arrested on four counts of drug possession.
The bizarre sequence of events began around 11:15 p.m. on Saturday when an employee at the Dunkin' Donuts on South Main Street went to check a bathroom and found a male passed out inside.
When police arrived they found the man had regained consciousness and left, so police checked the nearby area and ran in to a man on Congress Street who had a bench warrant for willful concealment.
Marcus Delon Green, 49, of 140 South Main St., Apt. A, was searched upon his arrest for the bench warrant, whereupon officers found suspected heroin, meth, and two different kinds of prescription meds Green had no prescription for.
Green was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail with an arraignment next month.
