CC Bissett caught up with Leadfoot's Mike Frampton, who spoke about his return to music following the demise of his former band Bang N Jane which stopped performing after the tragic death of drummer Jim Unfonak in January 2017.
"It was rough for me when Jimmy got killed. I really lost my heart to play any more music and I really didn't even care if I did play anymore.
"Then my friend Bob Boucher called me and asked me to do a benefit for their singer from Fallen, he had a brain tumor. I got together with them just to do a couple of songs and we ended up jamming for 8-9 months and did some shows, but COVID hit and it kind of dissolved that band.
"Then Brian Andreason, the lead guitarist of Leadfoot, got a hold of me and asked if I wanted to start an original outfit with him. They still had their other singer and I wasn't even considered to be part of Leadfoot yet. I was also singing for Fallen at the time.
"I was asked to fill in for a couple of gigs because the singer couldn't do it. And it just kind of morphed into it."
I am sure all of your fans are happy to have you back! 🤟🏼
