GRAY, Maine - Measurable snow in May is almost as rare as a day in June, but we could get it today.
National Weather Service meteorologist William Watson said today's snow should leave accumulations of about four inches in the mountains, with lower elevations like the Rochester area getting about an inch.
The last time New Hampshire (Concord) got measurable snow like this was May 8, 1966. The latest in the year Concord saw a trace of snow was June 7, 1905.
Watson said in Gray they'd already accumulated about four inches.
He added if you're a snow lover enjoy it while it lasts. The snow will likely change to a snow-rain mix before it moves out by noon.
Today's high will only be in the mid-40s with wind gusty winds topping out around 25 mph.
