SANFORD, Maine - Sanford Police today are continuing their probe into gunplay that occurred in the area of Bodwell Street on Tuesday.
Dispatchers received numerous calls around 11 p.m. for the reported shooings, and Sanford Police responded to the scene to find shell casings located in the area, however there were no reports of any injuries.
Sanford Police continue to investigate the incident and are following up on multiple leads as to who the shooter or shooters were.
Police are asking for anyone who lives on Bodwell, School and Church streets to check surveillance footage around 11 p.m. and contact Sanford Police CID at 324-3644 if they see anything suspicious.
Police say the shooting appears to be random in nature.
