SANFORD - A 29-year-old Sanford man died on Monday after the vehicle he was driving collided with a pickup truck.
The accident occurred around 8:05 a.m. at the intersection of School Street and Alfred Road (Route 4) where police say a 2020 Dodge Ram 3500 and 2011 Volkswagen Jetta crashed.
Sanford Fire rendered aid to the operator of the Jetta, but Samuel Hammond, 29, of Sanford, pronounced dead on the scene.
The operator of the Dodge Ram was not injured. The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
