Please plan on 10-15 minutes for getting a first library card so we can focus on making your child's first library card a special experience.
Storywalk Update: Children's Room Librarian, Christina, shares an update: "Thunderstorms forced an abrupt ending to the evening session of last week's StoryWalk®. Don't worry if you missed it! We have decided to offer the same StoryWalk® at another location. We have partnered with the Rochester Recreation Dept. to have the StoryWalk® set up in the wooded area of Dominicus Hanson Pines, Tuesday, Aug 10th from 10:00am-11:30am. The Dominicus Hanson Pines are located adjacent to Spaulding High School on Yeagley Way, Rochester, NH 03867."
Coming and Going
We have now opened the street level entrance to the Library for the convenience of our patrons. You can now enter and leave on either floor.
Contacting Patrons for Library Holds
If you signed up for email notifications for your holds for library items you will longer be receiving an additional phone call unless you specifically request it. We know people are busy and we don't want to add to your day with extra phone messages. Patrons who only want to be notified with a phone call will continue to receive our calls and messages. We are always happy to talk to you and let you know when your items are ready for you! Let us know your preference.
RPL Recommends Animated Videos
Main Desk Librarian (and syndicated cartoonist), Stephanie, and Main Desk Librarians, Karyl and Nick, have created a series of animated videos recommending books and DVDs and other items. See them on our Facebook and Instagram accounts. Check out our summer themed videos throughout the summer with great title recommendations in each one.

Assistant Librarian, Kait, is a star on social media for her book recommendations with many followers online and through this column! Today's list of recommendations includes books published in the first half of 2021 with gorgeous covers (on top of being really great books, of course)! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
