ROCHESTER - A Rochester woman was arrested for aggravated DUI on Thursday after she was found to be driving under the influence while transporting two juvenile passengers.
Police got involved around 7:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a driver thought to be intoxicated.
After officers located a vehicle driven by Jasmine Shantell Curry, 30, an investigation determined that she was "under the influence of alcohol," according to Rochester Police Capt. Jeremy Aucoin.
Curry was arrested for DWI, resisting arrest, simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child x 2, open container and as a fugitive from justice.
The resisting arrest charge resulted from her pulling away from officers, Aucoin noted, while the assault charge was for kicking an officer.
The fugitive from justice count was based on a warrant for theft out of Maine.
