ROCHESTER - The Rochester Rotary Club recently awarded a $3,000 grant to support Rochester Child Care Center (RCCC).
RCCC will utilize the funds to assist low-income families in need of childcare support. Since many of the families are headed by single-parent households, this contribution will positively impact the ability of parents to continue working.
According to Rochester Rotary President Josh Dame, the request "scored highly" and the grant was presented to the full board for approval.
"The grant request received unanimous approval from the board," said Dame. "As a club, we're thrilled to have provided a cumulative $7,000 in support of Rochester Child Care Center."
