ROCHESTER - Rochester Police are currently investigating several cases of tagging on Wallace Street and Columbus Avenue, in the area of the former Knights of Columbus building.

According to Chief Gary Boudreau, the department is taking acts of vandalism very seriously. Boudreau reports that his staff has already received numerous tips from social media.

"Those responsible for these acts will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," said Boudreau. "We have zero tolerance for the destruction of property in Rochester."

Boudreau encourages citizens to get involved in their community by reporting acts of vandalism as soon as they appear.

"If you see something, say something," Boudreau said.

Police are asking that anyone who recognizes the tags, or knows who is responsible, to please contact the Rochester Police Department at (603) 330-7128.

Additionally, tipsters can provide information anonymously by calling the Rochester Crime Line at (603) 335-6500. You can also text TEXT4CASH, with the relevant information, to CRIMES (274637). Cash rewards are offered for information that leads to an arrest.
