Rochester Police investigating report of potential threat directed at local school

ROCHESTER - Rochester Police today are investigating the report of a potential threat directed at a local school.

Police became aware of the threat Tuesday evening.

At this time, authorities do not believe the threat is credible, according to a release.

In response police will maintain an increased presence in and around schools to ensure the security of students and staff.

Rochester Police said they will continue to monitor the situation and remain in close contact with school officials.

They did not reveal which school had reportedly been targeted.
