ROCHESTER - Rochester Police continue to investigate a possible assault incident that occurred in front of Holy Rosary Church on July 8.
Police got involved after dispatch received a call around 3:30 p.m. reporting that an old man was being assaulted by a younger man.
Rochester Support Commander and Public Information Officer Andrew Swanberry said the investigation into the incident is active and ongoing.
"This incident began as a conversation between two adult males that developed into a physical altercation," Swanberry told The Voice today.
Swanberry added that one of the individuals was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
He said police do not believe that the men were known to each other before meeting on July 8.
Neither of the individuals' names have been released as the case is still open.
