ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was arrested on Thursday on charges of manufacturing a controlled drug and possessing a firearm with no serial number.
Devon Smith, 22, of 7A Lafayette St., was arraigned on Friday and is being held on $10,000 cash bail.
Police say they received a tip regarding a possible marijuana grow operation at the address, and after visiting the home to speak to the tenant, obtained a search warrant for the property. Multiple marijuana plants and growing equipment were seized, along with a sawed-off shot gun on which the serial number was obliterated.
The drug charge is a felony, while the firearms infraction is a Class A misdemeanor.
