ROCHESTER - A Rochester man has been indicted in the felonious sexual assault of a then 14-year-old female in Lee last year.
Corey Crossman, 41, of 2 Duquette St., is formally charged with two counts of felonious sexual assault, two counts of witness tampering and one count of solicitation to commit falsifying physical evidence, all felonies punishable by up to seven years in prison apiece.
Both assault charges allege Crossman engaged in sexual acts with the child on or about Aug. 7, 2014, while the witness tampering and falsifying physical evidence allegedly occurred between Aug. 7 and Aug. 27.
The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down on Nov. 19 and released on Tuesday.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant a trial.
