Rochester man gets 4-8 years for supplying deadly drugs to another Rochester man

DOVER - A Rochester man began a four- to eight-year stint at a New Hampshire State Prison on Monday after pleading guilty in Strafford Superior Court to dispensing a deadly dose of drugs to a Rochester man in 2020.
Tyler J. Harvey, 29, formerly of Norway Plains Road, was indicted last August on a single charge of Acts Prohibited-Death Resulting, a special felony that can carry up to a life sentence.
Harvey pleaded guilty to giving the victim, Nathan Sweeney, 26, of Rochester, a quantity of either meth or fentanyl or both in Rochester on May 6, 2020, leading to his death.
Harvey has been incarcerated for 161 days, which will be taken off the sentence.
In addition Harvey can received six months off his minimum sentence for his acceptance into the Strafford County Drug Court.
According to his obituary, Sweeney enjoyed time biking and being in nature.
