Rochester Elks #1393 Officers and Members attend NH State Elks Association Convention in Shelburne, NH!
SHELBURNE - Twenty-nine members and officers of the Rochester Elks Lodge recently attended the 96th annual NH State Elks Convention at the Town and Country Motor Inn located in Shelburne.
The Convention ran from May 3-6 with more than 120 people from 13 Elks Lodges in attendance. Rochester had the largest contingent at the convention.
Rochester Lodge also took home awards involving the Elks National Foundation and were the State Champions for the All American Lodge Contest. Rochester Past Exalted Ruler Matt Sanborn performed the 11 O'Clock Toast on Friday evening and Past Exalted Ruler Peter Ducharme performed the toast at the annual State Memorial Service on Sunday morning. Both of these officers had excellent presentations. The 11 O'Clock Toast is a tribute to our departed members and is normally performed at the hour of 11 whenever and wherever Elks are gathered.
The Rochester Lodge has more than 900 members, and its programs include Veterans Activities, Student Scholarships, Youth Activities, Drug Awareness, Americanism and Community Involvement.
