ROCHESTER - J. L. Long, a Rochester author and the host of the monthly Rochester Writers Night literary salon, has just released his sophomore novel, Ladykillers.

This cozy-style mystery novel follows the misadventures of middle-aged trans lesbian Ro Peszke, former cop and current private investigator, as she stumbles her way through a missing persons case, a fledgling romance with a woman 10 years her junior, and entirely too much New England snow.

The official book launch and live reading by the author is scheduled for the monthly Rochester Writers Night event on Nov. 2. The reading will be held in the Rose Room at the Rochester Public Library, located at 65 S. Main Street in downtown Rochester, and will begin at 6 p.m. An open mic will follow.

"A thought provoking insight into the .. gender choices of small town America," writes one reader regarding the novel, "and the price some are willing to pay."
The book is available through Lulu Books (www.lulu.com/spotlight/jllong) in both ebook and paperback formats, as well as through Amazon.
