ROCHESTER - Robert "Bob" Sexton, 70, died on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital.

Born March 6, 1954, in Trenton, N.J., he was the son of the late Harry and Elsie (McDaniel) Sexton.

Bob had worked in various industries throughout his life including truck driving, mechanical work, plumbing and operating heavy equipment.

He had a passion for driving and found joy in the freedom of the open road - whether it be racing stock cars or leisurely drives through town. Bob was best known for his outgoing personality and sense of humor. His favorite pastimes were playing pool, darts and horseshoes. He cared deeply for his family, friends and pets.

Members of his family include his wife of 51 years Cheryl (Hensley) Sexton of Rochester, his children Heidi Hatch and husband Scott of Rochester; Robin Brunet of Rochester; Jason "JR" Sexton of Dover; and daughter-in-law Jami Sexton; his grandchildren Logan, Macie, Kacey, Kelsey, Jalen, Austin, Hannah, and Jason, his seven great grandchildren, his sister Debbie Beatty, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son Robert Jr, daughter Amy Jo, granddaughter Chasitie, his brothers Harry, Charles, George, Louie, Albert, and Billy and sister Elsie.
